This is an interesting post from Archie Poulos with some helpful suggestions about how to make your vibrant church life visible to your wider community.

One suggestion that got my attention was:

11. Regularly provide content about people and photos for the local paper about interesting things your church is doing.

Check it out here.

Do you have any other thoughts on how to make the vibrancy of church life visible to the community?

Good catch Brad.
Totally agree with point 11. above.
Also, we could do much more to get The Factory ‘on the map’ – moveable sign up on Hawkesbury rd. Occasional sign on the overpass.
Add a BIG sign outside Christchurch.
Oh, and all this needs a new, fresh, contemporary, highly recognisable church logo!

And that’s just the start… 😉

Whoa, Neil – all over it. They are fantastic ideas. You’ve obviously thought about this issue.

I particularly like the idea of the sign on the Hawkesbury Road overpass. The other suggestions seem like things that should have been done when The Factory was built, whereas this idea is really unique and would get a lot of attention.

I think doing things like clifftop praise and LiVE in the park (which I hope to do next term) are also great ways of living out life in Christ before the community.
